Treading Water is Big North’s debut feature film. An incredible amount of planning, thought, creativity and passion went into making this complex character study set in the heart of Manchester. We shot the film in the summer of 2022 and completed post January 2024. During this exciting journey, Treading Water has been selected for Film London’s - The London Screenings, BFI London Film Festival 2024, ‘Molodist’ kyiv International Film Festival, Longlisted for 3 BIFAS 2024, and nominated for 1 BIFA in the breakthrough producer section. Treading Water has now been acquired for UK and Ireland distribution by Bulldog Film Distribution.
