Another great day shooting Treading Water.

A recent shoot involved us hiring a bus and driving around Manchester. We also seemed to choose the route with the most potholes, making the ride bumpy and the filming extra challenging!

And of course, we had to choose the day when the heatwave arrived turning the top deck into a mobile Sauna with all of the cast and crew pouring with sweat and demanding ice lollies and every possible stop.

We had 12 extras on the day, including our producer and commercial director’s son, Max as the lead actor in a few of the scenes – great memories for him to look back on and certainly to regale his friends when he hits Hollywood next!

The scene being filmed was a pivotal moment in Treading Water – just after the main protagonist is released from prison at the beginning of the film.

The day went by so quickly, with the cast and crew turning in another great performance. We ended up rushing towards the end of the day as the driver had a school bus run to do afterward! 

We can’t imagine Netflix having to worry about such things!
